Surprise! I didn’t write these books, which is weird, ‘cause I’m a writer. Let me explain.
I’ve been drawing since I was a kid. In high school, I memorialized yearbooks with cartoons instead of signatures. By college, I was drawing cartoons (and writing) for The Ohio State University student newspaper, The Lantern.
In 2016 a friend of a friend approached me about illustrating a book he had written. After months of character development, background illustration, photoshopping, layout and type placement - a book was born! Then, in 2018/2019 we did it all again.
Both books were a challenge, but I loved every second of it. I'm always on the hunt for my next illustration project, so if you know a guy, who knows a mailman, who knows another guy's roommate, I'd appreciate an introduction.
